Design Concept
After a long hiatus we submit to you the Stingray II. Based on a Marine Nationale issued design from the 1950s which we have been infatuated with since our watch journey began in the late 90s. The Mk II Stingray II Keroman fields a Made in Japan NE15C with bi-directional automatic winding, 50 hour power reserve, and quick set date. Water resistant to 200 meters each watch is individually wet tested according to the ISO 6425 Divers' Watches(1) standard for water resistance and thermal shock.
The Stingray II case has been sized down from 42 mm to 40 mm but is still the same unique expression of the best of several generations of military issued dive watch case details and our own experience.Â
To maintain a clean case design the crown is recessed into the side of the case body, providing protection like a crown guard while maintaining the symmetry of a vintage design. The case body has also been meticulously re-proportioned to take advantage of modern case construction techniques and available movements. Finally the case back is curved, making no apologies to the reference design, which in our experience is more comfortable to wear than the period correct flat back.Â
The case body also features a sapphire crystal, 120 click uni-directional bezel, screw down crown, and heavy duty 2.50 mm strap pins with 1.80 mm strap pins included for your less demanding endeavors and more casual straps. The Stingray II is available with either a modern aluminum bezel inlay or a vintage styled acrylic inlay.
(1) Watch is tested only for the water resistance portion of the ISO 6425 standard; not tested to the complete set of ISO 6425 standards for a dive watch.

Project Brief
While times are better (different) now, there are reminders, markers of hard times summed up by the keepsakes acquired through places been and things done.
